La película también enseña que no debemos depositar toda nuestra confianza en las personas ya que estas nos traicionan tal y como lo hizo Marcus un supuesto amigo de John Wick.  La película muestra las estrategias usadas por los mafiosos como la iglesia que está ubicada en el barrio ruso pero tan solo es una simple fachada de una bóveda llena de dinero.
